The length of UT is 12

Generally, the property of the centroid is that it is at a point that splits the length of the median into a ratio of 1 to 2

What this mean in this case is that if we look at the centroid U, it splits PT into PU and UT which are in the ratio of 2 to 1

Hence, from the above, we can deduce that UT is exactly half of PU

Thus;


\begin{gathered} UT\text{ = }(1)/(2)* PU \\ \\ UT\text{ = }(1)/(2)*24 \\ \\ UT\text{ = 12} \end{gathered}
