SOLUTION

The given equation is

f(x)=(1)/(2)x^2+4

Recall the definition of vertical stretch

vertical stretch occurs when a base graph is multiplied by a certain factor that is greater than 1

For a vertical stretch of a scale factor of 4 on f(x) g(x) will be

g(x)=4((1)/(2)x^2+4)_{}

Expand the bracket

g(x)=2x^2+16

Therefore, the answer is

g(x)=2x^2+16
