The given ordered pair having a relation = (-5, -1)

The given relation, y = -x + 4

From the given relation, we get;

When y = -1

-1 = -x + 4

∴ -x = -1 - 4 = -5

x = 5

Similarly, when x = -5, we get;

y = -x + 4 = -(-5) + 4 = 5 + 4 = 9

y = 9

Therefore, (-5, -1), does not belong to the relation y = -x + 4 but (-5, -1), belongs to the relation y = x + 4
