Given that 11.5 ounce package costs $3.19, so the corresponding price per ounce of coffee is calculated as,

\begin{gathered} p_1=(3.19)/(11.5) \\ p_1\approx0.28 \end{gathered}

Given that the second package of 30.6 ounces of coffee costs $7.98, so the corresponding price per ounce of coffee is calculated as,

\begin{gathered} p_2=(7.98)/(30.6) \\ p_2\approx0.26 \end{gathered}

Comparing the unit prices, it is observed that,

[tex]p_2Since the unit price is lower corresponding to the second package, it is a better deal for a customer to buy the second package.

Therefore, the unit price of 11.5 ounce package is $0.28, and the unit price of 30.6 ounce package is $0.26.

And the better buy is the 30.6 ounce package.
