Given that -6.6 is some number of times as large as 5.

Let x be the required number.

Given can be written as follows.

-6.6=5* x
\text{Use 6.6=}(66)/(10)\text{.}

-(66)/(10)=5x

Dividing by 5 into both sides, we get

-(66)/(10*5)=(5x)/(5)

-(66)/(50)=x

Dividing 66 by 50, we get 1.32.

x=-1.32

Hence the required number is -1.32.
