We have:


-7.7=-1.3+(x)/(4)

The first thing to do is passing the term -1.3 from the right side of the equation to the left side as a positive number:


-7.7+1.3=-6.4=(x)/(4)

The next step involves multiplying the 4 in the left side:


\begin{gathered} -6.4=(x)/(4) \\ -6.4\cdot4=x \\ x=-25.6 \end{gathered}
