Is a number automatically an integer if it is negative? Why or why not?

Integers are numbers that is not a decimal or a fraction. They are number s including positive numbers, negative numbers and zero. A number is negative doesn't mean that it is an integer. The negative number should not be in fractional or decimal form if has to be an integer.
