Area of a rectangle = Length x width

Length = 2 3/4 = (2x4+3) / 4 = 11/4

width = 1 1/2 = (1x2+1) /2 = 3 /2

A = 11/4 x 3/2 = 33/8 = 4 1/8 ft2
