The given data as;

Expected value define as the summation of xP(x)

So;

So, expected value is the summation of xP(x);

Expected value = Summation of xp(x)

= -0.8 + (-0.3) + (-0.4) + (-0.1) + 0

= -0.8 - 0.3 - 0.4 - 0.1 + 0

= -1.6

Answer ; Expected value = -1.6
