To construct a perpendicular line on line AB that passes through point C, we follow these steps:
1. Place your compass point on C and swing an arc of a definite size that cuts through 2 points on line AB (points A & D)
2. Since the perpendicular is to pass through the point C, the 2 points to get this done must be equidistant from point C (where the perpendicular line is to cut through)
If the distance between point A and D is not having an equal distance from C, we will not have a perpendicular line
