To calculate the velocity we must apply the Pythagorean theorem to first calculate the distance between the starting point and the end point, since a right triangle is formed


\begin{gathered} h^2=85^2+195^2 \\ h^2=7225+38025 \\ h=\sqrt[]{45250} \\ h=212.72 \end{gathered}

Velocity is distance over time, therefore


\begin{gathered} v=(212.72)/(2)= \\ v=106.36 \end{gathered}

The speed is 106.36 km per minute, if we calculate the speed per kilometers per second it would be:


106.36\cdot\frac{\operatorname{km}}{\min}\cdot(1\min)/(60\sec)=1.77\cdot\frac{\operatorname{km}}{\sec }
