Area of a cube expressed in square inches

Then surface area = 6(axa)

A cube have 6 faces, 6 areas, then thats why surface area = 6(axa)

a = 3 +(1/2)

then multiply

6•(3+ 1/2)• (3+1/2) = 6• [3^2 + 2•3•1/2 + (1/2^2) ]= 6• [9 + 3 + (1/4)]

= 6• [ 12 + 1/4 ] = 72 + 6/4 = 73 + 2/4 = 73.5 square inches

= 73.5 square inches
