you can calculate the slope of a line if you have two points, the slope formula is:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

where (x2,y2) is the rightmost point, for this case (5,3) and (x1,y1) is the other point, So:

m=((3)-(-1))/((5)-(-1))
m=(3+1)/(5+1)\text{ = }(4)/(6)

We can reduce the answer

(4)/(6)\text{ = }(2)/(3)

Finally, the slope of the line is:

(2)/(3)
