$\begin{gathered} 5(x-2)^2+4=9 \\ 5(x-2)^2=9-4 \\ 5(x-2)^2=5 \\ (x-2)^2=(5)/(5) \\ (x-2)^2=1 \\ x-2=\sqrt[]{1} \end{gathered}$

the square root of 1 has 2 solutions: 1 and -1, then:

$\begin{gathered} x_1-2=1 \\ x_1=1+2 \\ x_1=3 \\ or \\ x_2-2=-1 \\ x_2=-1+2 \\ x_2=1 \end{gathered}$
