The figure is made of one rectangle and one quadrant.

So,

The perimeter of the figure=Perimeter of rectangle + perimeter of quadrant.

PERIMETER OF QUADRANT.

Perimeterofcircle\text{ is =2}\Pi r

Quadrant is 1/4 of the circle, so

\begin{gathered} \text{Perimeter of the quadrant=}(2\Pi r)/(4) \\ \text{Perimeter of the quadrant=}(\Pi r)/(2) \end{gathered}

From the given figure we have radius=4

Substitute the value and simplify

\begin{gathered} \text{Perimeter of quadrant=}(\Pi4)/(2) \\ \text{Perimeter of quadrant=2}\Pi \end{gathered}

PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE

\text{Perimeter of rectangle =2(Length +Breadth)}

From the given figure,

Length=10, breadth=8

\begin{gathered} \text{Perimeter of rectangle =2(10+8)} \\ \text{Perimeter of rectangle=2}*18 \\ \text{Perimeter of rectangle=}36 \end{gathered}

The perimeter of the given figure

\begin{gathered} \text{Perimeter}=36+2\Pi \\ \text{Perimeter}=36+2(3.14) \\ \text{Perimeter}=42.28ft \end{gathered}
