\begin{gathered} f(x)=2x^2+1 \\ g(x)=x^2-7 \end{gathered}

The composite function will be


\begin{gathered} (f-g)(x)=(2x^2+1)-(x^2-7) \\ (f-g)(x)=2x^2+1-x^2+7=2x^2-x^2+1+7=x^^2+8 \\ (f-g)(x)=x^2+8 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is x²+8
