w= 26.5 m

l = 87.5 m

1) Gathering the data

2p= 216

l = 3w +4

2) We can write the Perimeter as:

2P = 2(w+l) Plug into that the equations above

216 = 2(w +3w+4)

216 = 2(4w +4) Distribute the factor

216 = 8w +4

216-4 = 8w Flip it

8w = 212 Divide both sides by 8

w= 26.5

Since l = 3w +4

l = 3(26.5) +4

l= 87.5

3) So the width is 26.5 meters and the length is 87.5 meters long
