The diffraction of the sound waves is shown by option D
What is diffraction?
In the language of physics, diffraction is the process by which waves spread out and create an interference pattern after encountering an obstruction or aperture and bending around it.
The most common waves with which this behavior is seen are those of light, sound, or water. The spreading of waves through narrow openings or the bending of waves around obstacles are characteristics of diffraction.
The extent of diffraction depends on the wavelength of the waves and the size of the obstacle or aperture. There is bending of the waves in D and this is what we mean by diffraction of the sound waves.
