Here, we want to use the distributive property to ditribute fractions

By using the least common denominator, it makes us turn the fractions to whole numbers

We have an example as follows;


(5x)/(6)=(1)/(2)*((3)/(4)+(4)/(6))

Now, in this case, we have the least common denomianor of 2,4 and 6 as 12

We can now proceed to multiply each of the fractions by this

Doing that, we have;


5x=6*(9+8)

By this happening, we would have successfully turned these fractions to whole numbers by the use of the lowest common denominator, and this makes the use of the distributive property easier
