Given the graph of an absolute function:

As shown the vertex is the point (1,0)

and the function passes through the point (4,3)

the slope of the line will be as follows:


slope=(rise)/(run)=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(3-0)/(4-1)=(3)/(3)=+1

so, the equation of the function will be:


y=|x-1|
