y=(x+3)/(2x+1)

Differentiating we get


\begin{gathered} (dy)/(dx)=\frac{(2x+1)-2(x+3)_{}}{(2x+1)^2} \\ =(2x+1-2x-6)/((2x+1)^2) \\ =(-5)/((2x+1)^2) \end{gathered}
