Let w be the width of the field

Then 2w + 5 is the length of the field

L = 2w + 5

P = 2L + 2W so,

268 = 2(2w + 5) + 2w

268 = 4w + 10 + 2w

134 = 2w + 5 + w

134 = 3w + 5

129 = 3w

w = 43 ft

Now we replace the width on the length's equation

L = 2(43) + 5

L = 91 ft
