How do you solve this equation? K-10/2=-7

Given the following equation:


K-(10)/(2)=-7

We know that:


(10)/(2)=5

Then:


K-5=-7

Now, we add 5 on both sides:


\begin{gathered} K-5+5=-7+5 \\ \Rightarrow K=-2 \end{gathered}
