P(x) = P(-2)

P(-2) = 3(-2)^2 + 5(-2)-8

= 3(4) + (-10) - 8

= 12 + (-10 -8)

= 12 + (-18)

= 12 - 18

= - 6

P(-2) = -6

(divided on both sides by -2)

Answer:

P = 3

(btw i am not sure if this is the answer you are looking for. Please clarify ths objective of this equation. What are we looking for? Are we solving for "P" ?)
