A Pythagorean triple consists of 3 positive integers a,b and c such that

a^2+b^2=c^2

Then, by substituting the given information into the last result, we get

x^2+24^2=25^2

which gives

x^2+576=625

By subtracting 576 to both sides, we obtain

x^2=49

By taking square root to both sides, we get

x=7

Therefore, the answer is: x=7
