For use to be able to determine the area of a sector, we will be using the following formula:

\text{ Are of Sector = }((\Theta)/(360^(\circ)))\pi r^2

We get,

\text{ Are of Sector = }((\Theta)/(360^(\circ)))\pi r^2
\text{= }((170^(\circ))/(360^(\circ)))(3.1416)(17)^2
\text{= }(0.4722)(3.1416)(289)
\text{Area of Sector = }428.72095728\text{ }\approx428.7\text{ mm}^2

Therefore, the answer is 428.7 mm²
