m∠A = 19º

m∠A =19º

Just like the theorem states.

1) If ∠A and ∠B are vertical angles, then according to the Vertical Angles Theorem they are congruent.

So 3x -8 = 4x - 17

3x -4x-8=4x-4x-17 Subtract 4x from both sides

-x-8=-17

-x=-17+8

x=-9

x=9

then

m∠A = 3(9) -8 =27-8=19º

m ∠B =4(9)-17=36-17=19º
