We have:

g(x)=-x^2+2x-5

And:

h(x)=2x^2+1

In order to calculate (g+h)(2) we first add both equations:

g(x)+h(x)=(-x^2+2x-5)+(2x^2+1)^{}
\Rightarrow g(x)+h(x)=x^2+2x-4

When now replace x by 2:

(g+h)(2)=(2)^2+2(2)-4\Rightarrow(g+h)(2)=4
