Why would a chef need to follow a chronology?

Because chefs follow cooking steps like first step to making id.k a cake, whats first? flour and eggs and milk or whatever put we need to follow them 1 by 1. And chronology is like in a text it gives an exact order of an event like in a text first the plane took off to flight, then 5 hours later it landed at Alabama. Finally everyone got off board.
