To find the line equation we will find the slope first:

m=(-1-2)/(2-(-4))=(-3)/(6)=-(1)/(2)

then the equation in slope-point form is:

(y-2)=-(1)/(2)(x+4)

and solving for y, we obtain:

y=-(1)/(2)x
