The wavelength of a radio signal is inversely proportional to its frequency. When frequency is 100, the wavelength is 750. Find the frequency if the wavelength is 2250.

The wavelength is inversly proportional to frequency. So equation is,

\begin{gathered} \lambda\propto(1)/(\\u) \\ \lambda=(k)/(\\u) \end{gathered}

Determine the value of constant k.

\begin{gathered} 750=(k)/(100) \\ k=75000 \end{gathered}

Determine the frequency for wavelength of 2250.

\begin{gathered} 2250=(75000)/(\\u) \\ v=(75000)/(2250) \\ =33.333 \\ \approx33.3 \end{gathered}
