3. For a party, Mr. Lee is going to put together three square tables with 5-foot sides end to end to form one long table. What is the area of the long table? A. 75 ft? B. 100 ft? C. 150 ft? D. 225 ft?

Since we have 3 square tables, we need to find the area of one of them and multiply by 3. The area of a square tables is


\begin{gathered} A=L^2 \\ A=5^2 \\ A=25ft^2 \end{gathered}

Then, the total area is


\begin{gathered} \\ A_{\text{total}}=3* A \\ A_{\text{total}}=3*25 \\ \end{gathered}

then, the answer is 75 foot squared.
