Given a table represents a linear relation between x and y

We will use two points from the table to write the equation of the line in the slope-intercept form: y = mx + b

As shown in the table:

When x = -1, y = 0

When x = 0, y = -4

we will find the slope (m) as follows:

slope=m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(-4-0)/(0-(-1))=(-4)/(1)=-4

The value of b = the value of y when x = 0

So, b = -4

So, the answer will be option D. y = -4x - 4
