The expression is,


P(x)=x^3-7x^2+15x-9

If x- 3 is the factor of the given polynomial function, then on substituting the value of x = 3 in the polynomial function, it become zero.

Thus subsituting the value of x in the polynomial,


\begin{gathered} P(3)=3^3-7*3^2+15*3-9 \\ =27-7*9+45-9 \\ =27+45-63-9 \\ =72-72 \\ =0 \end{gathered}

Here, the obtained value of polynomial is 0.

Hence, x-3 is a factor of the given polynomial.

Thus, option A(true) is correct.
