Solution

For this case we have the following points:

(7, -10) and (4, -5)

We can find the midpoint with the following formula:

M=((x_1+x_2)/(2),(y_1+y_2)/(2))=((7+4)/(2),(-10-5)/(2))=((11)/(2),(-15)/(2))

For the second case we have the following points:

(7, -1), (10, -9)

For the slope we can do the following:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(-9+1)/(10-7)=(-8)/(3)

Rounded to the nearest tenth would be:

-2.7
