PythagoApply pythagorean theorem:

c^2 = a^2 + b^2

Where:

c = hypotenuse = 89 ft ( longest side)

a & b = the other 2 legs of the triangle = 80 ft & x

Replace:

89^2 = 80^2 + x^2

Solve for x ( missing side )

7,921 = 6,400+ x^2

7,921 - 6,400 = x^2

1,521 = x^2

√1,521 = x

39 = x

Missing side = 39 ft
