For the triangles ΔABC and ΔDEF that are similar

To determine the ratio between the triangles you have to calculate the quotient between the measures of two corresponding sides

For CA=5 and FD=20

(CA)/(FD)=(5)/(20)

Both values are divisible by 5, so divide the numerator and denominator by 5 to simplify the fraction

(CA)/(FD)=(5/5)/(20/5)=(1)/(4)

The scale factor between both triangles is 1/4
