Use the following formula for the average acceleration:

a_{\text{avg}}=(v_2-v_1)/(t_2-t_1)

where:

v2: final speed = 0m/s

v1: intial speed = 110 m/s

t2 - t1: time interval = 14.0 s

Replace the previous values into the expression for a_avg:

a_{\text{avg}}=(0(m)/(s)-110(m)/(s))/(14.0s)=(-110)/(14.0)(m)/(s^2)=-(7.85m)/(s^2)

Hence, the magnitude of the average acceleration is approximately 7.85 m/s^2
