The given equation:

y=3x-5

put x=3 in the above equation,

\begin{gathered} y=3(3)-5 \\ y=9-5 \\ y=4 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} 10=3x-5 \\ 10+5=3x \\ 15=3x \\ x=5 \end{gathered}

when x= 5, y = 10

put x = - 2 in the equation.

\begin{gathered} y=3(-2)-5 \\ y=-6-5 \\ y=-11 \end{gathered}

when x = -2 y= - 11.

put x = 0 in the equation.

\begin{gathered} y=3(0)-5 \\ y=-5 \end{gathered}

when x = 0 , y = -5.

put y =0 in the equation.

\begin{gathered} 0=3x-5 \\ 5=3x \\ x=(5)/(3) \end{gathered}

put y = -17 in the equation.

\begin{gathered} -17=3x-5 \\ -17+5=3x \\ -12=3x \\ x=-(12)/(3) \\ x=-4 \end{gathered}
