The domain is all real numbers. You can use any real number for x and be able to calculate a y-value.

For the range, you have to recognize that this parabola opens up and has a vertex at (-6,5).

Since the parabola opens up from that point, that point will be the lowest point on the graph, making 5 the least y-value used by the graph. All y-values greater than 5 are also used by the graph.

The range is [5, infinity) or y .
