We need some data associated with the models the problem wants us to address.

If we need to create the data, then we can say that there MUST be a correlation between the number of minutes one studies for a test and the grade we get.

The correlation should be:

The more minutes we study, the greater the test grade we get.

So as the number of minutes increases, the test grade increases.

There is clearly a causal correlation. More time studying causes a better grade.

The correlation my be linear (increasing) or following some other increasing pattern (not necessarily linear). So not sure to answer linear unless there is some extra data that the teacher gave you to look at.
