Given:

The equation that represents Joe's journey is :

\begin{gathered} d\text{ = 4t} \\ Where\text{ t is the time} \\ and\text{ d id the distance travelled} \end{gathered}

From the equation, we can determine that:

At t = 1 hr

\begin{gathered} d\text{ = 4 }*\text{ 1} \\ =\text{ 4 miles} \end{gathered}

At t = 2hrs:

\begin{gathered} d\text{ = 4 }*\text{ 2} \\ =\text{ 8 miles} \end{gathered}

At t = 3hrs:

\begin{gathered} d\text{ = 4 }*\text{ 3} \\ =\text{ 12 miles} \end{gathered}

We have the points (1, 4), (2, 8), (3, 12)

We can now check the options for the graph that has the points.

Checking through the options, we can see that the graph that has the points we have obtained is the chart A

Answer: Option A
