The perimeter of a figure is given by the sum of all its sides, in this case, all of the four sides.

Perimeter = 23.6m
And to find the area of this figure we could divide this into 3 sections. A rectangle and 2 triangles, and sum those areas. Fortunately if we combine those triangles and add the previous rectangle we form a rectangle with sides 6 by 5(representation below).
And the area of a rectangle is just the product of the sides.
