Given:

Total of apples consumed in a year = 340 million pounds.

Total of apples consumed in Thanksgiving week = 73 million pounds.

Hence:

Percentage is given by:

\%=(portion)/(total)*100\%

So:

\%=(73)/(340)*100=21.47\%

ANSWER

21.47% of the America’s apple consumption is attributed to Thanksgiving
