the sum of a number, n, and -2 is multiplied by -4. the result is at most 36. Which shows the inequality that represents this situation and its solution

we have that

(n-2)(-4)\leq36

solve for n

\begin{gathered} -4n+8\leq36 \\ -4n\leq36-8 \\ -4n\leq28 \\ mu\text{ltiply by -1 both sides} \\ \\ 4n\ge-28 \\ n\ge-7 \end{gathered}

the answer in the attached figure

the sum of a number, n, and -2 is multiplied by -4. the result is at most 36. Which-example-1
