If the prize $300 will be divided among the people who have guess the correct number then, we can infer that the more people wins, the lesser the amount of money each person receives.

Hence, the number of people who guess correctly and the amount of money each person receives have an inverse relationship.

Assuming p = number of people, and m = amount of money each person receives, the equation for this is:


m=(300)/(p)

or


m* p=300
