We can write the perimeter as the sum of both sides, multiplied by two.

If one side is 11 in. and the other is x in., we can write the perimeter as:

P=2(11+x)

If the perimeter is 52 inches or more, then x can be calculated as:

\begin{gathered} P=2(11+x)\ge52 \\ 2(11+x)\ge52 \\ 11+x\ge(52)/(2) \\ 11+x\ge26 \\ x\ge26-11 \\ x\ge15 \end{gathered}

The value of x is 15 inches or more.
