9x+23y=10 rewrite the equation so that y is a function of x (explanation pls)

1. Leave y value alone on one side so subtract 9x from both sides : 23y = -9x+10
2. Divide 23 on both sides to leave y’s coefficient as 1 : y= -9x/23 + 10/23
This would mean f(x) = -9x/23 + 10/23 because y is a function of x (this means y=f(x)

Answer: f(x) = -9x/23 + 10/23
