Given:

The rectangle is shown in the figure with length= 8 units

and breadth=4 units

This you can get from the graph since, length can be calculated horizontally as we are going from (-9,0) to (-1,-2) and similarly we can calculate the breadth vertically as we are going from (-9,0) to (-8,4).

So the length = 8 units or grids and breadth = 4 units or grids.

Now, the area of the park is given by:


\text{Area}=\text{length}* breadth

Substituting the value, we get:


\begin{gathered} A\text{rea}=8*4 \\ =32\text{ grids} \end{gathered}

Since, in the question we are given that each grid is of 100 square feet so we will multipy the number of grids of area by 100 to get the whole area.
