we have the function

f(x)=(1/2)^x

Remember that

the y-intercept is the value of f(x) when the value of x=0

so

For x=0

substitute in the given function

f(x)=(1/2)^0

f(x)=1

so

the y-intercept is the point (0,1)

the answer is option A

see the attached figure to better understand the problem

End behavior

we have that

as x→+∞ f(x)→0

as x→-∞ f(x)→+∞

therefore

the answer is option C
